Venture Factory Launches VF-Healthcare Program

Venture Factory has launched VF-Healthcare program, aiming to fund up to 5 startups in the healthcare sector, making investments along with follow on funding ranging between $500,000 and $2 million per startup.

The investment firm has entered into a strategic partnership with Practo, Cloudnine and Plan India, the partners will help identify existing problems prevalent in India’s healthcare sector and select startups that come up with solutions.

“We are looking at both offline health care startups and health tech oriented startups, the idea is to accelerate them from a seed stage to a Series A investment,” said Vinay Rao, partner at Venture Factory. Venture Factory will close the investments during the next six months, scouting for entrepreneurs from varied backgrounds, not restricted to the IIT’s, IIM’s and ISB schools.

The program will include Shashank ND co-founder of Practo Technologies, Rohit M A, co founder of Cloudnine Healthcare Facility and Bhagyashri Dengle, executive director at Plan India on board as mentors, amongst others.
